We are looking forward to another exciting, event filled year at Pascack Valley High School. Each new school year brings new beginnings, new goals, and a sense of rejuvenation and excitement. Our maintenance and custodial staffs have worked hard to prepare the building for the new year. We continue to renovate classrooms as part of our goal to bring the older part of the building up to date. Construction of the Pre-K classroom was delayed for a while, but is now on the way as is the installation of our new security cameras. Our teachers took some time off, but already have begun their preparation and continued development by attending district workshops and tech camp.
We are excited about our new staff members that will be joining our district. They have also been working hard in preparation of the new school year and learning about the Pascack Valley way.
This year we have set 4 dates for early laptop pickup in order to get our new laptops into the hands of our students as soon as possible. Our technology staff did an amazing job preparing approximately 1400 laptops for distribution in such a short turn around period. It is unbelievable that we are already in our 6th year of the 1-1 laptop intiative. Our students are developing critical 21st century skills that will help prepare them for our ever-changing society.
We are hoping you enjoyed a restful and relaxing summer and are ready to begin another year. We look forward to seeing everyone throughout the myriad of activities that fill our calendar in the months to come.
